If you love water and would love to splash in the water throughout your holidays than head towards South America and spend your holidays in Chile. Officially known as the Republic of Chile, the country looks like a long strip towards the western side of the South American continent. Since the entire country on the coastal strip of South America you will find more than six thousand kilometers of coastal land here in Chile that will let you enjoy all the water sports that you want to enjoy. Chile is also a good destination if you love surfing because many surfers from all over the world come here to try their stunts on the water.
Towards the north side of Chile you will not find many surfing spots because of the water conditions there but if you are planning to go for vacations than you can certainly head towards the north of Chile and enjoy places and cuisines out there. However, there are two places which are recommended for surfing in the Antofagasta area of Chile and they are water here is relatively calm and therefore these spots are recommended for all kinds of surfers. However, if you are not really in a mood to surf the water than you can checkout some of the best landscapes here in this region that will make your holidays enjoyable and memorable.
If you move further north than you will find the Tarapaca region where there are a few surfing spots
that you will enjoy. However, the season here is best between May and August, but if you are looking to come here in other months than you can surely come because you will find waves here throughout the year. Some of the best locations here to surf are Barrancon, Cavancha, Colegio, El Brazo, El Buey, El Gringo, El Rancio, El Toro Veijo, El Tubo, Intendencia, La Bestia, La Isla, Las Machas, and Las Urracas. You will find plenty of hawaiian style reef breaks here on these spots and the tides are often big so you will definitely enjoy riding the waves.
Coming down south you can head towards Santiago where you will find few beaches and some great spots where you can surf and enjoy other water sports as well. Since Santiago is also the capital city of Chile you can halt here for few days and enjoy the weather and checkout different landmarks and attractions before heading towards the beach. You can also enjoy the night life here as you will find many pubs and clubs where you can hang out at night. Santiago has a list of places where you will enjoy surfing throughout the year. Places like Cachagua, Cap Ducal, Chepica, El Claron, Infernillo, Isla Negra, La Boca, La Chilena, La Puntilla, Las Cruces, Papudo, Playa Amarilla, Puertecillo, Punta de Lobos, Punta Liles, Puntilla Sanfuentes, Quintay, Renaca, Ritoque and Ventana are some of the best surf spots here in Santiago. Most of the places here are open to all kinds of surfers therefore you can find your favorite spot very easily.
